Queen of Reversals...

Let me just start by saying that while I loved Chae Jung Ahn in Coffee Prince...I quite hate her in the Queen of Reversals - which must mean she is a great actress. To be able to invoke emotions in your audience is surely a great feat. Not many actors can justifiably do so.

This drama was good to start with but took the wrong turn for me as soon as the lead female got married. I do appreciate emotional angst in my dramas, but I also like to see the hero/heroine take a stand eventually. Some sort of payback was definitely due - which in my humble opinion was not delivered at the right time. This drama kept heaping sorrow after miserable sorrow on our female until she was quite possibly drowning in it. This put me off so much so that I stopped watching in the middle of the drama.

I know that in real life people can be mean and vindictive, but it is rather hard for me to witness it in the drama and be quite incapable of doing anything. While I wait in anticipation for my hero/heroine to fight back, the writers don't feel it is the time. So alas my emotions taker a roller coaster ride. While this drama is pretty good and the casting gives me no room for complaints, I just don't think I am up for watching this one right now. Perhaps another time when the mood is right....
